Canyonlands Half Marathon
The annual Canyonlands Half Marathon is a test of human endurance situated between the sandstone cliffs of the Colorado River valley in Moab, Utah. The eleven mile course runs along scenic Highway 128, continues through Moab, and finishes in Swanny City Park. The event is certified and sanctioned by the USA Track and Field association.

Overview: The Canyonlands Half Marathon takes place in March every year when the cool spring air creates perfect running weather. In addition to the Half Marathon, there is also a five mile run that starts approximately three miles away from the Half Marathon starting point, up Highway 128. Though this rolling course is challenging, men, women, and children of all ages and physical abilities are invited to participate.

Details: Awards are given for the first male and female to finish, first Moab residents, fastest wheelchair competitor, and fastest Masters competitor (40 years or older). Other marathon events include a pasta dinner Friday before the race and a finish-line expo with lots of gear for fitness enthusiasts.
If you are interested in participating, you must register well in advance. Only the first 4000 entries are selected and team size is limited to ten people.
