Moab, Utah features many events but one of the most amazing is The Other Half Marathon. This race features runners from around the globe who diverge on red rock country to run their hearts out for 13.1 miles. And you don't have to worry about a thing – the event planners have it all taken care of.

Event Details:
The 13.1-mile long course starts at Dewey Bridge and parallels the Colorado River amid backdrops of gorgeous scenery, including prominent landmarks Fisher Towers, Castle Rock, and the La Sal Mountains. Listen for the Taiko Drummers at the start and at the hill at Mile 12, and look forward to lush green scenery at Sorrel River Ranch Resort and delicious post-race microbrews courtesy of the Moab Brewery. All runners receive a long sleeve tech shirt, finisher medal and post-race refreshments.

Overview: The 13.1 mile Other Half Marathon, held in October, runs through many beautiful and well known Utah landmarks. It starts at historic Dewey Bridge along the might Colorado, just down Highway 128, and ends at the Sorrel River Ranch Resort. The marathon is only open to the first 1500.

Details: Runners are invited to a pasta dinner the night before race day at the Moab Valley Inn. On marathon morning, shuttles will take you to and from at pickup points Helen M. Knight Elementary and Moab Valley Inn. Sponsors like Gatorade will be stationed along the entire route along with first aid stations. If you're having trouble, you can take a sweeper ride to the finish line. Runners are also given loot such as race tees, finisher medals and post race refreshments from great establishments like the Moab Brewery.
