Internet Access

Though Moab, Utah, is far removed from the day to day work world, Internet access is fairly common in many of the local lodging establishments, though usually for a price. Not all of them have Wi-Fi connections and some only provide broadband lobby access. However, alternative places are accessible during regular working hours for free, give or take a coffee or two.

Of the thirty plus hotels, motels and other lodging establishments in Moab, Utah, at least twenty-six of those have Internet access either through a hard wire connection or through WIFI. Of the ten bed and breakfasts, at least seven provide internet access. It is also possible to stay connected at many of the privately owned, regional campgrounds. However, there are three alternative access points, including two with Wi-Fi and one with broadband Internet, which are completely free.

The entire building of the Grand County Library has a wireless internet signal that can be accessed without a password. However, for brief checks of emails, three computer terminals are available for fifteen minute durations with a password from the checkout desk. There are other computers, but these are for Intranet access (internal library database systems) and general research, offering a maximum of two hours of use.

Free Wi-Fi access can be obtained at the Eddie Mc Stiff's Restaurant on 57 S Main Street, but the seating area is limited and only available to paying customers. The Mondo Cafe on 6-59 S Main Street has the best availability and no time limit.
